The ceiling light is too bright and your phone is too blue, so on most nights you read next to a lamp that shines straight into your eyeline. Pillar changes the geometry and not the bulb: it sits low enough for the glow to fall below eye level when you are propped up on pillows, a soft wash and not a hard point.

Wipe the dome and the enamel base with a soft cloth, dry or barely damp. Avoid solvents and alcohol, which cloud acrylic. Keep the USB connection dry and unplug the lamp before cleaning. For indoor use only.

Are there other colours?

There are two finishes, Cream White and soft Sage Green, and both have the brushed brass collar. Choose the one that suits your room; the warm glow is identical.

What supplies its power?

A USB cord comes out of the back of the base. Plug it into any USB wall adapter, a hub, a laptop or a power bank. There is no mains fitting to wire.

Do I need to buy a bulb?

No. The warm LED is built in and sits under the rim of the dome behind the brass collar, so the light source itself is never visible.

How much light does it give?

It is rated at 24 W and suits a space of 5–10 m². That is bright enough to read a page and soft enough to leave on late. Think of an ambient pool of light, not a task light.

Is the dome made of glass?

It is opal acrylic. It gives the same milky, even diffusion as opal glass and survives a fall from a nightstand much better.

Which colour works in a warm room?

Cream White blends into pale plaster, linen and oak. Sage Green is a soft, dusty olive that works as a quiet accent. Both have the same white dome and brushed brass collar.
