There is a small satisfaction in a ring having a home: the soft click as it lands in the same dish each night, and finding it there next morning. Pebble turns looking for it into a habit you no longer think about.

Kura

Wipe with a damp cloth; a drop of washing-up liquid removes residue from hand cream and perfume. Dishwasher safe on a normal cycle, though washing by hand keeps the painted colours bright for longest. Not for the microwave or oven. Ceramic is hard but brittle, and a fall onto tile will chip a rim, so keep them back from the edge of the counter.

What size is each dish?

About as wide as an adult palm, small enough to hold two or three rings and a pair of studs without feeling like a bowl. Full measurements are in the product info above.

Can I choose the patterns?

We pick a balanced, assorted mix of mandala and Moroccan-tile designs for you, all on the same warm cream ground with a hand-painted rim, so however they fall the set looks like one collection and not a jumble.

Will it scratch a wooden nightstand?

The base rests on a recessed, unglazed foot ring that is fired smooth and not sharp, so it will not gouge. On a delicate oiled or lacquered finish that you would prefer not to slide anything over, put it on a small felt pad or a tray.

Can they be used for food?

Yes. They are food-safe glazed stoneware and work well as dipping dishes for soy sauce, olive oil or salt, or as pinch bowls when you prepare food. Wash them first if they have held jewellery.

Do they stack?

They nest inside one another, and the full set of ten stacks to under 7 cm tall, so the spares fit in a drawer or the back of a cupboard without taking up a shelf.

Can they go in the dishwasher?

Yes, on a normal cycle. Washing by hand is gentler on hand-painted decoration over years of use, but the glaze is fired on and not printed over, so it will not lift. Do not use them in a microwave or oven.
