Scattered objects look like a mess, and the same objects on a tray look deliberate. Rowan™ is a device interior stylists have long relied on, cut from solid wood with a raised, turned lip. Put it on the coffee table and the remote, the matches and the candle become a composition. Put it on the ottoman and it gives a firm, level surface for two cups. The deep walnut-toned grain provides the look, and because it is one solid piece it carries real weight without flexing, from a stack of books to a full breakfast.

Wipe with a slightly damp cloth and dry at once; solid wood must not be soaked or put in a dishwasher. A light coat of food-safe wood oil every few months keeps the grain rich.

How can I select a size?

Small (Ø 20 cm) suits a nightstand, dresser or bathroom counter. Large (Ø 28.5 cm) is the size for a coffee table or ottoman, and holds three candles, a vase and the remote with room to spare.

Can food and drinks be served on it?

Yes. It is rigid solid wood with a raised lip. Wipe up spills promptly and it will serve breakfast for years.

Is it one solid piece, or veneer?

One solid turned round. The lip and base are the same piece of wood, so there are no seams and no veneer edges to lift.

Will the grain match the photos?

The tone will, but the exact grain will not, because every piece is cut from different wood. Yours is unique.

How do I keep its colour rich?

Wipe it dry after spills and rub in a little food-safe wood oil every few months. Those five minutes keep the walnut tone deep.

Can it be kept in a bathroom?

Yes, and it makes a very good tray for perfume and soap. Keep it out of standing water and dry it after splashes, as with any solid wood.
